About the Osaka Prefectural Internationalization Strategy Executive Committee
The "Osaka Prefectural Internationalization Strategy" was developed in March 2012, based on the "Osaka Growth Strategy" developed in December 2012, with the aim of "strengthening Osaka's international competitiveness". This strategy aspires to strengthen the international competitiveness of Osaka’s workforce and technology, along with attracting people, goods, and capital from Asia and the rest of the world, and clearly lays out the direction and specific measures Osaka Prefecture needs to take in order to internationalize.
In order to take full advantage of the international exchange network and expertise of the Osaka Foundation of International Exchange (OFIX) to implement this strategy, OFIX and Osaka Prefecture developed the “Osaka Prefectural Internationalization Strategy Action Program” in October 2012, which addresses issues such as “Global Human Resource Development” and “Creating a Receptive Environment for Foreigners.”
The Osaka Prefectural Internationalization Strategy Executive Committee, jointly established by OFIX and Osaka Prefecture, was established as the main body to implement the Osaka Prefectural Internationalization Strategy Action Program.
