*Kappou refers to the way of preparing and serving traditional Japanese cuisine on site using fresh ingredients. It can also refer to these kinds of restaurants.

You may imagine that Kappou dishes are expensive. However, this Kappou Taiken event allows you to experience and be enthralled by Osaka-born Kappou at a reasonable, fixed price.

Marking the eighth holding of its kind, this year’s event will serve a set menu using Osakamon (local Osaka products) that have long supported Osaka’s food culture. There is also a plan to introduce restaurants for you to enjoy the combination of cuisine and Japanese wine.

In addition, a special plan is available for foreign customers in response to the increasing interest for Japanese cuisine from abroad. Please don’t miss this opportunity to experience “Over the counter Kappou” born and developed in Osaka, a town of “extravagance in food”.

*Seeking Supporting Members of 2025 Japan World Expo Committee!

==================================================================

Osaka Prefectural Government is currently making efforts to have Osaka-Kansai be selected as the host of the 2025 World Expo (commonly called the 2025 Japan Expo) together with City of Osaka, the national government and Japan’s financial world. We hope to make this Expo an exciting event open for everyone to join.

The 2025 Japan World Expo Committee, in charge of the World Expo bid, is involved in promotional activities such as attracting attention from overseas and raising awareness within Japan through the joint efforts of the public and private sectors.

In spring 2018, the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) Enquiry Mission is scheduled to visit Japan to assess our proposal for the Expo first-hand. Therefore, it is essential to have the Mission members feel the increasing public interest for the Expo around the country. In order to show this growing enthusiasm in concrete figures, the 2025 Japan World Expo Committee is currently seeking official supporters to become “members” of the Committee. Both individuals and whole organizations are welcome, and you can register from the Committee website! We would love to have you as a member.

Everyone, help us build more momentum for the Expo and together we can make it happen in Osaka-Kansai!
