Seeking Supporting Members of 2025 Japan World Expo Committee!

Osaka Prefecture is currently making efforts to have Osaka-Kansai be selected as the host of the 2025 World Expo (commonly called the 2025 Japan Expo) together with the national government and Japan’s financial world. We hope to make this Expo an exciting event open for everyone to join. The 2025 Japan World Expo Committee is currently seeking official supporters to become “members” of the Committee. *Fun by the Waterfront: Riverside Terrace Nakanoshima will open!

Located in Nakanoshima, an area that symbolizes Osaka’s status as an aqua metropolis, the Riverside Terrace Nakanoshima will open, allowing people to enjoy its barbecue and beer garden facilities. Come and admire the waterside sunlight at the open-air terrace!

Waiting for you is delicious and photogenic food, which you cannot help but post pictures of online. Why not come for lunch with your coworkers on weekdays and with your family on the weekend?

From Tuesday August 1 to Tuesday October 31,

*Summer Splash at the Osaka Garden of Floral Culture during Summer Vacation!

During these summer holidays, the Osaka Garden of Floral Culture is holding various events for families such as workshops where you can experience making different handicrafts, participate in adventure quiz games and observe an array of insects!

On the open lawn area, you will find a sprinkler and a mist-blowing dome, while at night, you can enjoy fantasy movies on the big screen! Why don’t you come and have a great time at the Osaka Garden of Floral Culture this summer?

<Splash Garden>

■Date and Time: Saturday July 22 to Sunday August 27

■Details: On the open lawn area, there are three areas: a sprinkler area, a mist-blowing dome area, and an area for kids to enjoy water pistol target shooting.

Let’s play with water under the blue sky!

*Free of charge

*Please come in casual clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting wet.

*The events might be canceled depending on the weather and ground condition. (Please check our website to confirm that events will be held as scheduled)

<Summer Vacation Kids Workshops>

■Dates: Saturday 5, Sunday 6, Saturday 19, Sunday 20, Saturday 26, Sunday 27, August

■Content:

Over 20 kinds of workshops will be held, with various handicraft-making classes available for smaller children. Come and enjoy these indoor events all day long in the summer.

*Participation fees vary for each workshop.

<Adventure quiz games>

■Period: Saturday July 22 to Sunday August 27

■Details

Come and try our adventure quiz games in the beautiful flower garden! Make sure to register at the entrance, and then start your adventure to solve quizzes scattered throughout the garden!

Quizzes change from week to week so you can try again and again.

* Admission fee required.

< Osaka Garden of Floral Culture (Hanabun) Insects Observation Event>

■Date: Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6

■Details:

Let’s find insects living in the garden!

Insect specimen making workshop will be held on Saturday August 5, and creatures observation event on Sunday August 6.

* Reservation and admission fee required.

* August 6 Event: Canceled only in case of heavy rain or stormy weather.

<Hanabun Fantasy Cinema>

■Dates: Sunday August 6, Saturday August 19, Saturday August 26

■Details:

The Cinema Festival will be held in the magical night atmosphere of our botanical garden.

The cinema theme is “Fantasy”. Please enjoy movies and the cool summer evening breeze.

(Movies: Japanese dubbed version only)

*Cinema admission fees: Adults (senior high school students and older) 1,200 yen, children (three years old and older): 800 yen, children under three years old: Free (Garden entrance fees included)
